The vision of the Tyram Lakes management team is to fulfil the following objectives:

The Development - Background

The design concept itself allows for the creation of a beautiful eco getaway that complements the adjacent woodlands and the pristine lakes. In addition, the development has been carefully designed to give a high degree of consideration to the preservation of its natural surroundings.

Tyram Lakes will be the UK’s only eco lodge, spa and hotel resort establishment that offers a vast spread of natural landscapes, hidden trails
and breathtaking scenery – this making for comfort during both short and long stays.

 

Meet the team

ALEXANDER PEARCE 
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER                          

Alexander is a real estate entrepreneur whose expertise and experience derives from a family built business stemming back several generations.

As part of his family’s business, Alexander has helped successfully build a Nursing/Care Home portfolio of approximately 350 bedrooms– this being later sold and acquired by a US Blue-Chip Corporation for £10.5m in 1998. Some of these Nursing Homes were “new build” – to which Abbey Hill Nursing Home in Rotherham (60 Bedrooms) was the first of its kind to have the largest room dimensions in Rotherham with en suite facilities. The development achieved the internationally recognised accreditation, Investors in People Standard. The Rotherham Health Authority utilised Abbey Hill/Abbey Dale as a benchmark for not only the high quality of the buildings, but also for the way they were functionally operated; thus achieving first class Health Authority reports continuously.

In 1998, Alexander made the purchase of Monkwood House in Rawmarsh, Rotherham. Here, planning was approved for the development of 20, four bedroom detached properties. These were built to a rigorously high standard and then sold in 2000 for £2.3 million.

As part of Alexander’s prowess for property, he has more recently added to his real estate portfolio with investments made in land and related assets, whereby current assets under management total to £15m. Such investments include the luxury Tyram Lakes Hotel, Spa & Resort in Hatfield, South Yorkshire.

Alexander’s family property portfolio encapsulates a range of development assets ranging from stables, eco lodges, hotels, forestry and land, apartments and industrial units – to which the total potential GDV stands in the region of £188m.

In addition to commercial and residential real estate developments, Alexander has leisure sector experience through having run and owned restaurants and entertainment facilities prior to sale.

 


 

DAULTON O. BYFIELD  
MANAGING DIRECTOR                   

With previous experience at one of the world's leading independent international financial consultancy companies with over 80,000 clients across more than 100 countries, Daulton possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in dealing with high net worth clients possessing combined personal asset values of in excess of $50 million.

With experience ranging from Wealth Management, Managed Advisory Services, Business Development and in handling $10m portfolios, Daulton also brings his cutting-edge expertise from his tenure at Nakheel Properties (Palm Jumeirah, UAE) - an entity wholly owned by the UAE government. Inspiration for the Tyram Lakes project has been derived from Daulton due to his commissioning to co-ordinate on The Palm Jumeirah.

Education
Daulton graduated with a BA Erasmus University Rotterdam.

 


 

DR. TIM FENN
SUSTAINABILITY PLANNER  

Tim’s expertise encompasses the development of some of the first low-carbon retrofits and new build projects which the first low-carbon retrofits and new build projects which includes prototyping and building of Code 6 and Passivhaus standard buildings. He also led the sustainability masterplan development for the planning bid for one of the UK's Eco Towns (Bicester) which was subsequently approved.

Tim was involved with the design team on a180-Eco lodge zero carbon development and has worked on hotel developments in Kenya and on clothing "Eco-factories" in Bangladesh. The latter have involved retail manufacturers such as M&S, Next & New Look with the objectives of reducing carbon footprint and lowering of environmental impact working towards achieving "Eco-factory" status.

Currently, Tim serves as Managing Director at Green Factory, a small specialist consultancy company undertaking lead design roles for developers, factory owners and tourist businesses which want to develop low carbon exemplar sites. Tim coordinates all aspects of project development such as sustainable construction, renewable energy and waste management, biodiversity, transport and employment.

Tim’s has also had involvement in developing Zero carbon housing whilst securing company accolades such as the Regional HSBC Award for Rapid Growth, whilst contributing to the creation of the first zero-carbon houses to be sold in the UK.

Education
Tim has the rare distinction and title of Doctor of Letters (D.Litt) as an established, accomplished scholar and academic from the University of Westminster and graduated with BSc honours from Reading University.

 


 

ALKUSH CHOUDHURY
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR                      

Through active involvement in successful family businesses, Alkush has acquired a clear and solid understanding of business development and operational matters within Property/Real Estate Development. This includes direct and hands-on-experience within the Central London market.

Alkush also brings 6 years of experience from positions held across the leisure industry and health & fitness sector. She has held Senior Management roles at luxury health club, gym and spa establishments, to which she has gained a wealth of knowledge and an enhanced skillset in sales, marketing, and human resources functions.

Education
Alkush graduated with BA Hons in Law from Middlesex University.

 


 

MIKE SMITH
DIRECTOR                                         

Mike is a multi-skilled businessman with experience gained in a wide variety of trades and professional management roles. Amongst other things, he has worked on residential and commercial construction projects, undertaking and managing different types of build profiles with a keen eye for detail and always delivering very high standards.

He is a highly motivated and driven individual, constantly striving to achieve the very best standards and outcomes for the team. His work at Redrow Homes has included inspecting new build premises and sign-off for homebuyers, locating and highlighting building works faults, identifying unfinished works and organising remedial work.

 


 

ALAN TATTERSALL
CONSULTANT                         

Alan Tattersall has joined Rothgen Limited in a non-executive capacity to add strength to the management team based at the Tyram Lakes Luxury Resort in South Yorkshire. He brings a wealth of business experience to the company gained in a progressive career in Financial Services, Utilities and the Internet.

Alan has held a number of senior positions, he was the CEO of uSwitch.com until its sale in 2009 and prior to that, Head of Acquisition at EDF Energy. He currently runs his own business advisory company helping companies to grow and to realise their full potential. He believes in building strong teams that allow businesses to achieve rapid, profitable growth and willbring this experience to bear on the Tyram Lakes development.

 


 

RICHARD CROFT  
PRESS & MEDIA RELATIONS                            

With a wealth of experience at senior management level throughout a wide range of industries, Richard has been a successful digital marketing and PR consultant for the past 15 years, owning two Consultancy and Copywriting businesses.

During this period, Richard has been responsible for copywriting in excess of 400 websites from start-ups to multinational corporate websites, writing press-releases, research and subsequent reports, management statements and shareholder reports to complete business plans and newsletters in both digital and hard copy formats. As a specialist in ensuring websites are found organically, Richard has worked closely with members of the Google team as well as being a frequent “wordsmith” and copywriter for two of Australia’s more notable SEO companies.
